In 1986, a man named Harry O’Connor was walking down the street when he saw a group of young men attacking another man. O’Connor tried to intervene and was himself attacked, suffering serious injuries.
Donald Trump, who owned the nearby Plaza Hotel, saw the commotion and instructed his limousine driver to pull over. He then got out of the car and confronted the attackers, who fled the scene.
Trump stayed with O’Connor, who was bleeding heavily, until an ambulance arrived to take him to the hospital. O’Connor later credited Trump with saving his life.
While some people may have different opinions about Donald Trump as a politician, this is one example of a positive action he took in his past.
